hm...

i shall talk about my trip to jarkata since i have not posted for a long time...



DAY 1



Flight was at 0330 in the afternoon. Left school during reccess and made my way home.Reached the airport at about 0245 plus checking in. Was in the same flight with my cousin and my uncle.The flight was about 1h15mins.When we touched down, we took a car to the hotel that we're staying at and met my other cousins there. HAHAHA.. Next one was funny.. since my other cousin, L, was still asleep, me,S [ my other cousin on the plane],my older sis, my younger bro and sis went to her room and started to pounce on her. She was so blur to an extent that she fell from the bed. LOL... Then we got our room keys and we 4 girls had a room to ourselves. We unpacked our things and met our other relatives for dinner downstairs. It was a 10 course meal but to the 6th course.. i was really full!!And i had a headache on top of that. After dinner, we 4 girls went back to our room and to shower before going back to sleep. But we watched some tv a while. Me and S were going to sleep while my elder sis,E and M[ my male cousin] were watching a scary documentary. He has his own room but he's sharing it wif our uncle. So M stayed in our room for a while then he went back to his own room to sleep.

DAY 2
*sigh* we had to wake up quite early in the morning to attend the tea ceremony but in the end, girls didn't manage to go becus no one had told us the room number and which obviously got us really lost all over the hotel. So we ate breakfast and then our aunt brought us to do some window shopping before taking us back to lunch which was a buffet. But, i was still stuffed from yesterday that i only took sashimi and ICE CREAM !!! After lunch we went to this really BAD shopping mall that didn't have wad we wanted. We could hace spent the time at the other mall that we first went to OR we could have done our hair for the wedding dinner.Well not me.. since my hair is kinda short, but my cousins would. So, we went back to the room after the bad shopping experience and we can skip part of the ceremony which we were not involved in so we 4 girls and my male cousin, went back to our own rooms and went downstairs to have a swim since Jarkata is so hot of 32 degree celsius!
So, we had a 1h swim which we played by sitting on each others shoulders and trying to knock the person down. I always lost as i couldn't have my balance right. Then, we tried to climb up a ledge which resulted in several bruises. Nearing to 0430 [jarkata time] we climbed out of the pool and went back to the room to prepare for the wedding dinner. I wore a deep purple dress of knee length and really short heels. S wore a black dress and necklace and long heels.E wore a greenish blue dress and had earrings on. My elder sis wore a pink cheongsam which really suited her. I will try to upload some pictures.Once we were ready, our male cousin was already outside waiting for us and we went down to the ball room together.

DINNER BALLROOM

when we arrived, they were not done with the preparations yet but WOW !!! The dinner event theme was gold and red. And if you combine a rich family with another rich family u get a really REALLY REALLY grand wedding. boy, it was grand!! The food there had western,chinese and others. BUT, the dessert section was so so mouth-watering.. IT LOOKED FABULOUS!!!About 2 hrs later, the other guests had arrived and did i mention that it was a stand-up dinner? Means that there were no chairs. There was a lucky draw to be held at the of the wedding. So when the bride and groom entered it was really romantic, they sang a song to each other i tink it's called " Tonight i celebrate my love for you " So after the cake cutting and champagne pouring, it was eating time. I only ate a couple of things and we 5 found a place to sit at the ledge in the dark area. It was really funny.then before you know it, it was time for the lucky draw...We 5 ppl weren't entitled to the draw as we didn't register our name.. we forgot.. The prizes given out were i-pod nano (2), 1 diamond pendent, 3 return tickets, Nokia N-something and vouchers. There was a draw for ladies and if u catch the bouquet, u receive a diamond pendent.So, since we 4 girls didn't register our name, we didn't participate. BUT, we didn't know that the groom can request ppl to come over and we heard our names. " Miss Stephanie""Jaslynn""Jessica" but he didn't say my other cousin's name as she didn't want him to say it. So, we joined but we didn't get it casue the bouquet was thrown to the front and we were at the back... Then it was the male's turn, if they catch the garnet thrown, they receive something bigger than a diamond pendent. Matthew didn't wan to go and join but after we 4 girls pushed him in, he didn't have a choice.. So he didn't catch the garnet but the person who got it got a HUGE teddy bear. We laughed as we thought that the prize was really the bear but in the end... HE RECEIVED AN I-POD NANO !!! WTH !!! matthew felt disappointed...

After the phototaking and stuff we went back to our room as we were beat tired and our legs hurt from walking.We soaked our legs in hot water and were left to babysit the little children as the adults had gone off for karaoke and drinking. We slept around 12-Jarkata time.

DAY 3 THE LAST DAY

We woke up at abt 0930 and went to wash up and went down for breakfast. We were the last to arrive as we didn't know AGAIN. so we had a 10 min breakfast and then our aunt brought us to shopping at factory outlet. It was an hour drive and when we reached there, the stuff there was sooo cheap like an adidas bag there cost abt 12 SGD. A DKNY shirt/Jacket cost aroung 14SGD...It was really cheap. We went from store to store and bought a few shirts at the last store. Then we went back to the hotel and packed oour stuff then we headed to the airport after we had a couple of donuts. We reached the airport and checked in and flew back to sg.
